The Palmerston

About The Palmerston

The Palmerston restaurant in London’s up-and-coming East Dulwich is a pub and dining room that’s not only a local favourite, but also an award-winner with an AA rosette awarded every year for six straight years. The Palmerston offers fine dining in an informal, pub environment accompanied by a wine list sourced from around the world. The friendly, knowledgeable staff is worth mentioning up front, too, as their swift expertise adds an agreeable hum to the dining room. Head Chef Jamie Younger, formerly of Bibendum, takes excellent, seasonal British ingredients then uses his creative energy to present them in traditional mode or with flavours drawn from the Mediterranean and the East. The Palmerston’s wood-panelled dining room with its leather banquettes, open fire and unmatched wooden seating is a gorgeous place to enjoy this fine food and if you need distraction, there’s a changing display of shows by local artists.

Always reliable for imaginative cooking of the best seasonal British produce. One to treasure in a street of many eateries!

Another lovely meal for two at The Palmerston. The food is always excellent, I haven't had a bad mouthful so we have already booked in again for later this month with the in-laws!
