Papaya Tree

About Papaya Tree

Situated on Kensington High Street, Papaya Tree is popular with the locals and a must for anyone craving for authentic Thai food. The interior is cool and contemporary, with wooden floors, modern light fittings and a simple white colour scheme – perfect for low-key lunches and dinner with friends. The chefs use only the best ingredients, with fresh herbs and vegetables flown in from Thailand twice a week. At lunch, Papaya Tree buzzes with the sound of hungry food fans tucking into their modestly priced one-dish meals. In the evening, diners can enjoy traditional dishes like tamarind duck stir-fry; spicy jungle curry with chicken; and crispy fried fish with ginger and spring onions. Remember to save room for one of their exotic desserts!

Pleasant Thai restaurant near High Street Ken. The food was good. I would go again since I live in the area, but this is not the kind of restaurant that is worth a special trip.

Papaya tree is my favourite Thai restaurant to go to. The staff are very polite, the food is always splendid. I've never been disappointed whenever I have been.

Good food, a bit dark and the toilets were really in bad conditions.

Small place, downstairs. White, clean; but first impression is not the best one. HOWEVER, the food is excellent; authentic thai. Prices are a little too high for what it is, but the quality of food is good.
