Giant Robot has a great ambiance, the salads are incredible
Four of us just had lunch at Giant Robot. 3 had the meatballs with mash option. Always get good reviews. I tried their burger and fries, which is new to the menu since I was last there. Quite good, though don't think it's worth £12. Service was friendly and efficient. Good for an occasional lunch splurge.
Went to Giant Robot on a Friday night. Had a £40 Toptable voucher for GR's (now closed) sister restaurant, Tiny Robot. I've been to GR before and thought it was overpriced. Thought the same thing this time. Cocktails are really good and the atmosphere is lively. Crostini were basic and lacking flavour. Wedge salad was a bland mess. Sliders and Lucky Chip burger were very good. Be warned - baked alaska is tasty but enormous (for 2 people? try 10) and expensive at £7 per person
Giant Robot in Clerkenwell has a very stylish interior with an authentic menu to match. Had muscles to start which were some of the tastiest I have ever had. Then of course a burger for mains, which was delicious if not a bit small but this was made better by a huge portion of chips! Great diner style restaurant.
First time at Giant Robot. Disappointing food but nice place. Service sweet but slow.too many good Too many good competing places in the area to warrant a second chance.
