I some friends to afternoon tea at The Park Room and Library in London and it was fabulous. One ofthem is celiac, and the Park room has a gluten free afternoon tea which she loved - she was bale to have the same 'afternoon tea experience' as everyone else but be able to eat everything - perfect! We also had an infant with us the the staff were lovely with her. Our only disappointment was the piano player who was far too loud made conversation difficult.
Fab!!! We all love everything, great atmosphere, grand pianist.
Another lovely visit to the Grosvenor, easy to book, lovely food and friendly staff. Good value for money compared to other teas, I would definitely go back.
Had booking miscommuniction, but the maitre d was nice enough to give us a table anyway. Friend ordered the children's Grover's tea, which came with a stuffed tuxedo dog, and the maitre d' offered me one too, which I thought was very kind. In terms of food, must try the chicken and ham sandwiches! They are amazing! As far as atmosphere goes, it's not the pinnacle of gorgeous of hotel lounges (e.g. I'd probably prefer Apsleys or the Savoy), but its up to scratch, and the pianist is fantastic.
We had afternoon tea, with a nice table for 2 by the window. The food was ok, but did not compare to other hotels we've visited. Only 1 sarnie of each filling & cakes were of a poor standard, very basic. Scones very nice. Not great value for £35pp & I would not go back.
