This is my third visit to Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley (formerly Petrus). On this occasion the service seemed a little slower than normal but as always the staff were friendly and courteous. The food never disappoints. We had the tasting menu and each dish was a carefully crafted fusion of flavours. It took quite a long time to get through it all and we were quite full at the end! It is pricey, but you have to consider the amount of work that goes into the preparation. Overall a lovely evening
The 3 course lunch is surprisingly good value for money because of all the intermediate courses. The food itself was truly beautiful on the palette.
Great decor and service.
Would definately return
Marcus Waring at the Berkley - we had a very enjoyable lunch from the set lunch menu. The complimentary extras between courses was a lovely treat and offered very good value.
I chose Marcus Wareing at the Berkley as a special treat to celebrate my birthday with my husband. There were lots of impressive amuse bouche and canapes to begin with, which was a good start, and although the food was very good, it didn't have the extra wow factor we were expecting. The restaurant is classic and quite traditional in decor and ambience and we prefer something a but more casual and contemporary. It is also a lot of money!
We had a fantastic meal at Marcus Wareing@The Berkeley last night. Service was impeccable and food sensational, particularly starters & mains. To top it off we were offered a tour of the kitchen before coffee and were greeted by Marcus himself. All in all, a great evening, and no hidden extras on the bill (the two bottles of Evian we got through were not charged for).
