The Plough

About The Plough

Only a stone's throw from Richmond Park, The Plough is located on Christchurch Road in leafy East Sheen. This picturesque whitewashed inn has a historic heritage and retro, homely feel inside. The polished oak bar, blackboard menus and warm colour scheme give this gastro pub a settle-in-for-the-afternoon vibe, and we can't imagine anything cosier than a lazy Sunday roast at The Plough with a pint and the papers. The menu here is gourmet pub grub: don't miss the chilli and coriander battered haddock and chips with peas and homemade tartare; and the Plough beef burger with cheese & bacon, homemade fries, salad and relish.

Another lovely lunch in a great setting, with good service at The Plough - we will no doubt be back soon!

All round a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Very attentive staff and great food, with real ale on tap.

This was a return visit to The Plough in East Sheen and the first time I had been for a Sunday lunch. While the food remained excellent, the fact that the place was running at capacity meant the service had become a bit more pub-like. While all the staff remained extremely friendly, things just took a bit longer - which when you're having a relaxing Sunday lunch probably isn't a bad thing. On a sunny day, be sure to get there early to bag an outside seat.

Warm and cosy pub, above average grub, slightly sulky table service although the barman was very helpful. Best for families with babies though - dozens of them everywhere!

Fish and chips were good as always. However they seemed to be having problems with service today.
