Kish

About Kish

The Kilburn High Road is a hive of activity and is filled with bustling cafés, restaurants and bars in north London. Kish is a favourite with locals for its fresh Persian/Iranian food and cosy, neighbourhood atmosphere, and the restaurant stands out slong the strip with its huge clay oven and chef’s work bench in the shopfront window. Step inside and the walls are a deep magenta giving the space a friendly glow. The floors are tiled and the vibe here is informal – but Kish is suitable for business dining or fun celebrations. The menu is filled with classic kebabs and grills and we recommend the charcoal grilled lamb chops with saffron steamed basmati rice and a grilled tomato for main course.

Great food, was visiting a place near by so needed to find something local. Food was cooked well and service was very welcoming.

Kish is a cosy small restaurant at the end of Kilburn High Road, beginning of Maida Vale. There is a good variety of starters and main course but could be more choices for desserts. Portions are decent. The traditional potato and lamb casserole was something slightly different. The music was a bit too loud when sitting next to loud speakers but hey it was a New Year's Eve.

Kish was recommended by an Iranian friend & we went with out-of-town visitors who had themselves lived in Tehran. They agreed that the food was very authentic and we all found it of a very high standard. We enjoyed the sight of the clay oven in the restaurant. All in all a very enjoyable evening and good value.

The food here is excellent and is such good value!!! I'd definitely come back here. The mixed starters we had were delicious and the grilled meats we chose for our main course were excellent. Definitely worth a visit if you want to sample traditional Iranian food!! Atmosphere is lacking a bit and it's not the swankiest place in the world bit I'd certainly recommend the food.

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at Kish in Kilburn. Quite a find amid the hustle and bustle of busy Kilburn High Road. The food was lovely - we both opted for the lamb stew which was delicious (although I regretted not going for the shish kebabs which also looked wonderful). The food was tasty and authentic (I've never tried Iranian food - its delicious!), the service attentive and friendly. I'd definitely go back if in the area.
