Platform Restaurant & Bar

About Platform Restaurant & Bar

It seems an odd pairing – a London restaurant and bar with a Devon farm – but somehow it works just beautifully. Situated on Tooley Street within metres of London Bridge, Platform Restaurant and Bar is an utterly unique proposition. A gate to plate restaurant dreamed up by restaurateur Tony McKinlay and farmer Barnaby Butterfield, Platform works with only one farm (Butterfield’s own no less) to provide completely traceable food including meats from animals bred specifically for their flavour. With a kitchen headed up by Jake Tuttil, Platform makes the most of what it’s got with dishes which combine imagination with traditionalism. An exciting bar and cocktail list is also on the agenda at this seriously cool, beautifully appointed bar and restaurant.

Nice restaurant, good ambience, but for me a tad over-priced. Enjoyable evening, but not sure I would return.

Great value for money. A hidden gem at London Bridge. Thoughtful menu, well cooked and friendly staff.

Food was tasty and service friendly however disappointing to be told on arrival that we had to leave the table early because of a private event. Would have preferred the restaurant to call to confirm this before arrival.
