On arriving at the Anthologist in London we were shown to a table that was soaking wet. We said to the waitrose the table is very wet and she responded yes it has been cleaned! We then dried the table ourselves with napkins as the waitress could not be bothered! Food good but service not.
The Anthologist near Bank is fantastic - always rammed full of bankers after work, it's lively by the bar (perhaps a little noisy) - the dining section is a bit quieter... really good value food - sharing platters around £10 and a good selection of dishes.

We'd beeen wanting to try the food here for a while. We'd been to the bar several times, but had not yet managed to book a table. We asked for a table by the window when we arrived. The stewardness said we couldn't, b/c they were all booked; most were still empty by the time we left. Starter of potted crab was excellent. My husband's burger was tasty, but my steak (searloin, the special) was not very good. The ambiance was good for a Tuesday.
good food selection makes you want to try everything on the menu. Superb wine list at affordable prices. Attentive and friendly staff.
