Early Sunday evening dinner at the Italian Job, Fulham Road. Very friendly service from the young Italian waitress. Spaghetti for our daughter was great. However we've had better seafood risotto and the piccante pizza was fair. Good value for money and as a previous review says good for a lunch with friends but not an evening 'date' destination. Worth supporting.
The Italian Job on Fulham Road was heaving - Fulham playing at home to Liverpool - which made the whole experience rather unrelaxing. Service was disjointed and frantic. Food when it came was ok, especially the pizzas which were very good. Seafood linguine and lasagne very average but this could have been as a result of the place being packed out. Will try again on a non-match day.
Very nice people, lacking language skills i.e. they got our order wrong and didn't understand our requests. Food was ok at best, nothing exciting and certainly nothing to tell anybody else about. Is it a good neighbourhood restaurant for a weekday meal; yes - is it a Sat night restaurant to take your friends to; no.
The Italian Job, 764 - 766 Fullham Road, London SW6 5SJ - What can I say about the Italian Job? The food was absolutely amazing, meat that melts in your mouth, sauces to die for and a matre de with a sense of humour. The prices are extremely reasonable and don't forget to ask for Louis - he'll certainly look after you. Definitely the best meal my party have had in a long time, with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere! I would certainly recommend this place. Tell them Shirley sent you :D
A busy restaurant, serving great Italian food. The table had penne with gorgonzola and mushrooms, calzone, a salami pizza and we all shared a large spinach salad with bacon. The bill came to £25 for the three of us which was possibly on the high side, although the dishes were all well cooked, and full of flavour. Staff were very friendly, if perhaps a little stressed.
