Fire & Spice - Bar & Kitchen
About Fire & Spice - Bar & Kitchen
Located inside the central and modern Mostyn Hotel near London's Marble Arch, Fire and Spice is a cosmopolitan restaurant popular with stylish travellers and local business types. Tucked away downstairs from the reception area, Fire and Spice is a secluded space decorated with warm earthy colours, wooden floors and plush seating perfect for romantic rendezvous and discreet business meetings. The menu here is classic British cuisine with an exotic twist, and the cocktail bar also offers a happy hour and screens sporting events. We love the pan-seared sea bass drizzled in a coconut and ginger sauce; the smoked duck breast salad with a raspberry and hazelnut dressing; and the gammon steak with chips, a fried egg and grilled pineapple.

Fire and Spice, 4 Bryanston Street, Marble Arch. Small room with just a few tables and a very large tv screen. Booked via toptable and went with my partner on 24th Jan 2012. The food was excellent. Starters: I had the tandoor fried lamb chops and my partner had the hakka chilli chicken ( he was politely warned that this dish was very hot and spicy and it was, but fortunately he likes that type of food) Mains, I had the sea bass and he had the chicken tikka masala. Both were excellent.
Fire & Spice - Bar & Kitchen, Marble Arch, London. A quiet place with great service, staff were very attentive. I got the impression the indian influenced dishes are the best thing on the menu - my sea bass with a spicy indian saucec was excellent, my partners duck with orange butter sauce was average. Dessert (banoffee pie) was dissapointing. A fair alternative for a reasonably priced meal in the area if you don't want to visit a chain restaurant.
Fire and Spice, London proved to be an excellent venue; good food, with attentive waiting staff.
Great food and location but absolutely dead and no atmosphere. The service was great and we were given a free birthday cake for our party. It's ideal for a cheap quiet eat before hitting the town, very reasonably proceed and the food was tasty!!
Very mixed view of this restaurant. The fish dish and chicken curry were very good, the vegetable curry was very poor - it was made from frozen veg, mainly tiny cubes of carrot. We were informed that the vegetable curry was the same as the chicken, just veg in place of chicken - it most definitely was not, the sauce had a strange tangy, creamy taste, not very nice at all.
