Been here a number of times and was always satisfied. This time service let me down. We ordered jersey potatoes but they didn't turn up with the main course and had to ask for them ... which obviously meant a wait. Ordered tea and coffee and while still drinking them the lady asked if yshe could take away the sugar bowl - and it was given to another table!!!
I was never let down here. Good place for a business lunch
The meal was excellent, service was friendly and prompt and the overall experience was relaxed and pleasant. Me and my friends really enjoyed the meal - we had various dishes and they were all delicious. The cocktails were interesting - various colors and flavours which displayed the barman's imagination.
Harry's Bar in Ironmonger Lane, London, has a contemporary feel and an interesting menu. Whilst the food was quite tasty, our experience was marred by the waitress who took our order. Quite simply she had no knowledge of the menu, and couldn't answer basic questions about the dishes (e.g. what type of game are the game meatballs?) Questions about the wine menu were also met with blank looks! The staff need to be trained up better if Harry's bar is to offer such an interesting menu.
