Ponti's Italian Kitchen
About Ponti's Italian Kitchen
For authentic Italian food in London’s West End, Ponti's Italian Kitchen restaurant provides a welcome oasis just off Oxford Street, near Bond Street. Family-run since 1963, Ponti’s specialises in food from the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. Dishes are prepared using the freshest quality ingredients, and Italian classics enjoy a modern twist. The menu includes provenance info, so you’ll be able to see that, for example, your Parma ham actually comes from Parma. The open kitchen and wood stove oven create a sense of theatre, while salami, coppa, pancetta and prosciutto crudo suspended from meat hooks; and platters of large creamy balls of mozzarella di buffala, fresh green Italian olives, juicy vine-ripened cherry tomatoes, fresh focaccia and Altamura bread serve to whet the appetite. Apart from luscious sharing plates, traditional dishes dominate the menu, like lasagne al forno, made using the family recipe; spinach and ricotta tortelli, hand-made in Piacenza and served with butter, crispy sage and Parmigiano Reggiano. If pizza and pasta aren’t your thing, there’s also a burger served with provolone cheese and pancetta.

Dinner at Ponti's Italian Kitchen, Duke Street, London. Great service as usual, good food and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Ponti's in London was an enjoyable experience combining great food with a convivial atmosphere and particularly attentive service. Recommended.
Ponti's Italian Kitchen, Duke Street, London - overall very disappointing, after being seated my friend and I order a bottle of wine which was absolutely fine. When we went to order starter and mains we were told we could not order garlic bread or pizza after requesting it and were not notified when we were seated that these dishes were not available. Had we have known we would have dined elsewhere. Also we weren't offered any freshly ground pepper or freshly grated parmesan on our meals.
Went to Ponti's out of curiosity and while the food was good it wasn't anything special. The service was good. Your average dinner with nothing extreme be it positive or negative.
Team lunch at Ponti's was a great experience. Sat near the kitchen watching things being made was good theatre. Very reasonably priced, friendly staff and all food came out together. Would definitely recommend to others.
