William IV

About William IV

The William IV is a wonderful London boozer, located off the beaten Shoreditch path on Sheperdhess Walk, set back from the hustle and bustle of Old Street. Airy and old-fashioned, this brilliant gastro pub restaurant has all the charm and cosiness everyone wants in a local, and is the kind of place that makes you want to settle in for a long afternoon or a late night with friends. With simple cream wood panelling, the odd taxidermy display and vintage Chesterfields, William IV also has a well-priced menu that won’t break the bank. The kitchen offers daily specials alongside a comprehensive British menu that includes everything from brunch and a clever ‘On Toast’ section to bar snacks and everyone’s favourite pub classics. A great place for intimate lunches, weekend brunch dates and private dinner parties – the upstairs function room is a real treat – William IV is a little Shoreditch gem.

Really nice, cosy local pub. Lovely atmosphere - lively even on a Tuesday night. Food was simple and delicious. And the staff were...entertaining.

William IV London was nice but a bit on the pricey side. Good English food though!

Food was nice though portions a bit small for the price. Some staff were really friendly and made the place really special, others were sulky. We moved table because we were initially seated in two armchairs that were low to the ground and a small cafe table that wound up being at about chin height once we were seated. What on earth is the point of that? I would go back because its a nice atmosphere and the food was good.

William IV, Old Street Sunday brunch in this cute little pub set away from the bustle of Shoreditch. Food was good, fry up for 8 reasonable value although 7 Bloody Marys from a pre-made jug was a bit cheeky! The atmosphere is great though, perfect mix of buzzing and chilled out.
