Canteen in Canary Wharf remains one of my favourite places to eat. The roast was up to its usual high standard and the scones were fantastically light! My partner was very pleased to see the curried vegetable pie on the menu and said he couldn't fault either that or the Bread Pudding that followed. Well done Canteen, I don't think there is a rival out there for this genre of food.
Went to Canteen in Canary Wharf for a quick dinner before going to the cinema. Very good service, I told the waitress we were limited on time and she made sure that drinks, starters and mains came out quickly one after another. Sadly the Roast Lamb special had finished by the time we got there, which I felt was kinda early given it was only 7pm, also had to ask a couple of times for water, but no big issue. The food was pretty good - arbroath smokie, welsh rarebit, cottage pie and pork pie.
Booked for my sisister in law who thoroughly enjoyed the food.
You are always in a safe pair of hands when you go to canteen. The food is great value and the service is quick.
Canteen is...nice. The food is good as is the service and ambience. We had our food quickly and every one was happy, the Roast Beef was particularly nice. We had a large group of people (14) and they seemed to deal effectively with us. The only downside I feel there is to canteen is the value for money. For what is good gastro pub style food the prices are a little too high. £7 for a fish finger sandwich! That said I would go again.
