It’s a convenient stop during or after shopping in Brompton Cross or when strolling the museums on the Cromwell Road. Over the years, it has become well known for its consistently excellent French food, superb value and flawless service. The interior of Racine restaurant is simple, in a style reminiscent of traditional Parisian brasseries, with dark wood, leather banquettes and mirror-lined walls creating a clean and contemporary look. Racine chef and co-owner Henry Harris specialises in flavoursome, unpretentious dishes like skate with brown shrimps, capers and lemon, grilled rabbit with mustard sauce and smoked bacon, and the decadent côte de boeuf with sauce bordelaise for two. A reasonably priced wine list, exquisite desserts and an intimate atmosphere make Racine an experience not to be missed.
