Willy's Wine Bar

About Willy's Wine Bar

Just a stones throw from Fenchurch Street Station, under the shadow of the iconic Gherkin, Willy’s Wine Bar is the epitome of a classic drinking den. The sweeping bar dominates the bare brick space and dim lighting gives you the impression of being underground away from the hustle of the city. The clientele is mainly local workers, taking a break from their desks at lunch, doing big business or winding down after a hard day in the boardroom. Willy's Wine Bar offers great British food including fish and chips - considered by many to be the best in London - sandwiches and homemade puddings. Make sure you check out the extensive wine list!

Willy's does lovely specials during the week. Grilled salmon was excellent and the fish pie is always good. Can get busy at lunch.

Willys Wine Bar restaurant near Fenchurch St Station was full as usual during my lunchtime visit and the staff seemed harrassed .Had only just sat down when asked to order and again before reading to the end of the menu .Didn't tell us what was on the blackboard so we had to have alook ourselves .No staff to be seen when meal finished and wanted a coffee .Food fine but not as good as on previous occassions and side order of vegetables never appeared .Will give another go due to good location

Willy's Wine Bar is a City institution, great food, good drinks and an unbeatable atmosphere. The only thing to have is the fish and chips!

Simple, hearty food (fish and chips especially tasty) and a boisterous atmosphere. Good fun!

Returning to the City favourite Will's Wine Bar. Although tempted by the usual fish they had festive lunch so had turkey instead. Food was ok, service better but you don't really go to this place for either!
