Spice Merchant

About Spice Merchant

Spice Merchant is one of three high-end Indian restaurants that make up a group overlooked by group chef Vijay Anand who was trained in India's famous Oberoi Centre. Dining here is more than an experience, it's an education. Vijay's aims to encourage Toptablers to learn first-hand about the different cooking styles of India's various regions. Having said that, guess what the most popular dish is? You guessed it - chicken tikka masala! But before mains, start with a king prawn puri. Your taste buds will soon discover why it's so popular. What part of India your dessert takes you to is up to you. But wherever you travel, your immediate surroundings will be airy, colourful and fresh. And for the best seats, ask for table five, six, seven, eight or nine.

Had the buffet. Good value for money comparing to the a la carte but not as good. Service was excellent.

Great food, not as nice inside as their other place in beacons field but would recommend even though it is a bit pricey (£6 for a glass of wine!!!)

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Spice Merchant in Uxbridge. The menu was imaginative but not with an overwhelming number of choices. The staff were very friendly and attentive but gave us the space to eat our meal in peace. The food was very good, but beware the onion bhaji was huge and we barely managed half of it. There was only one other couple in the restaurant - these guys deserve better. Oh and its actually called Masala - so keep your eyes open or you might walk past it!
