Toptable says about Restaurant 109

Restaurant 109 first opened its doors in 1998 and it has been a firm favourite with Richmond locals ever since. Enjoying an enviable location just moments from Kew Gardens; the restaurant itself is a small, intimate space – ideal for mid-week dinners with friends or a laid-back Sunday lunch with the family. The Chef puts locally sourced produce to good use in European-inspired dishes like foie gras on a toasted baguette with tomato and cumin chutney; roast chicken with lemon, sweet potato and scallions; and rib eye steak with béarnaise sauce. Alongside a concise wine list and an affordable fixed price menu; Restaurant 109 also boasts an excellent pudding menu – the raspberry crème brulee is well worth saving room for!

Great food but very slow service. Highly recommended but be prepared to wait long for your food. Really nice restaurant to go with group of friends.

109:

Food was excellent, with large portions. Service was slow but good when it arrived! Slow service was probably due to a party going on. Food was one the pricey end of Richmond's range but nonetheless was still quite good value for money. Recommended for a night out!

The menu was interesting but food did not live up to expectations (dauphenoise potato very average). Presentation was not great either, plates were too small and it looked overcrowded.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal at 109. The food was very good and although the two course special offer was from a very limited menu, we had no trouble finding dishes that we really wanted to eat. If you have room afterwards, try the baked bananas with hot chocolate sauce - heaven has to be made of such things! Staff were efficient and friendly. I would definitely go back.

This is a great local place in Richmond, not far from the station. The service was great, real hospitality, and the food was really good - honest, proper ,well cooked food. I hope it continues to do well. Will definately be revisiting when I get the chance
