Visiting WhiteChapel Gallery Dining Room for Sunday Lunch - Small but spacious dining room with friendly service, got a bit busy towards 2pm but fully enjoyed. Recommend the roast!

Excellent service and were brilliant at accomodating us as had last minute change in numbers and last minute addition during the meal! Food was very well presented and good use of flavours. All 8 of us were pleased. Menu was very good giving a wide range of dishes to choose from. Toilettes however were a let down - the state of them were not far off badly kept public toilettes!

The Whitechapel Gallery strikes again. Surprisingly quiet, probably because of the Christmas exodus, we enjoyed a lovely chestnut and truffle oil risotto. Risotto was perfectly cooked and flavoured, I was only slightly unconvinced by the balsamic drizzle on top of the risotto (very sharp flavour compared to truffle). Treacle tart with clotted cream was a perfect ending. As always, service is attentive and cheerful. Fantastic restaurant in this part of London, and absolute gem.

We went to Whitechapel Gallery Dining Room. Nice friendly atmosphere. Although my friends were quit late (30 mins), staff were very friendly and helpful. (some staff suggested me to have a look around gallery while I was waiting for my friends rather than sitting at table). The dishes we ordered were good, especially beef, it was very delicious, and reasonablly priced. we really enjoyed our dinning out.

Very enthusiastic and informed staff. Food enjoyable - hash/duck egg was gorgeous, partner's mackerel good. Main choices: braised beef and haddock pie - both delicious. Side dish of truffle chips were tasty. Price/portion about right as well. Quality/price of house wine as we would expect. One negative comment is that the tables for 2 are a bit small but then it isn't a large room. Great place for locals and for gallery visitors. Not sure I would go out of my way to return only for food?
