Middlesex’s Hatch End has one notorious former resident – the original queen of cookery herself (no, not Delia), Mrs Beeton. And the world’s first celebrity chef would undoubtedly be a fan of Hatchets, a family friendly neighbourhood restaurant where the emphasis is on good, home cooked food and welcoming service. The classic surroundings – dark wood furnishings, white linen, attractive art works and careful finishing touches such as tiny vases of fresh flowers on each table – are timeless, offering an atmosphere which suits any guest and any occasion. The spirit of Mrs Beeton clearly lives on in the kitchen of her former residence, where European and international specialities are created.

Very friendly staff, nice food. Good value with the 25% offer. Set menu also offered a good selection

food was very good, decor a bit dated, staff very friendly. reminded me of places my parents use to take me when i was young
Myself and three friends visited hatchets on weekday evening.. the owner was very welcoming and the atmosphere was really warm and friendly but also elegant and spaced out well so you could talk to each other without listening in on others conversion. The food is excellent and there is a good choice. they have a very good selection of wines and the value overall is very reasonable.. worth knowing that you can park fairly easily outsie... higly recommended..
