The Gurkha's Flavour
About The Gurkha's Flavour
The Gurkha’s Flavour Indian and Nepalese restaurant in London’s Forest Hill is an award-winning restaurant with a relaxed, friendly ambience. The chef, Mr Aryal, Curry Chef of the Year’ in 2010, has learned his art over many years from some of the best chefs anywhere, including Michelin-starred Alfred Parsad of Tamarind. The restaurant is decorated in colonial-inspired style with dark wood panelling and seating, white table linens and authentic objets. The menu features not only your favourite Indian dishes, but also rare specialties like masu bhutuwa, kukhura aloo and somfu masu with their authentic Nepalese spicing. The Gurkha’s Flavour uses only the best ingredients of the highest quality to create simple, fresh, inventive Nepalese and Indian cuisine and is now a huge local success.

This could become a little gem. It needs customers ! Having had good deliveries from the Gurkhas Flavour, and seeing it on Top Table thought we would venture down Stanstead Road and find it. A very small Nepalese restaurant with Charming staff who were both informative and very courteous and kind. The food was delicious, both dishes made especially for us with plenty of garlic and chilli good chutneys. Think about the decor, could be modernised and spruced up, but linen napkins well done
Fine food, great value
Hidden gem on the outskirts of forest hill. Small but great quality food and service. Never considered nepalese food before but would thoroughly recommend the variety and style of food.
Food excellent, service attentive, no complaints at all.
