Gregg's Table in Bermondsey replaced Alfie's as the ground floor of the Bermondsey Sq Hotel. As a big masterchef fan, there was a certain thrill in attending Gregg's restaurant. The open kitchen and shelves filled with iconic brands (oxo, colmans, HP) set the scene for the 70s revival food. Food was delicious (the fish pie was supreme), although I was dissapointed not to have the famed fishfingers, as they were off the menu. A little pricey (£30 for two courses+soft drinks), but I would return.

We had a half lobster each, bottle of a white wine and a pudding to share - It was all very good! Staff were attentive and we will go there again!

We ate at Gregg's Table in The Bermondsey Square Hotel, London on a Sunday lunchtime. The only criticism I had was that the Brunch Menu was on. This was quite limiting, with only soup for a starter and limited main courses. There was a choice of delicious roasts.. The waiting staff were very sweet. The chocolate bombe for dessert , which was superb, outclassed anything else on the menu.Would I eat here again? Probably not, as there is a very good choice of restaurants in the locality.

Early days for this restaurant. I went on a Saturday night and it was not very busy which is a shame. Starters and mains were updated 70's classics. The boiled beef and carrots was nice but I could have done wiit a few more carotts. Interestingly considering Gregg's love of all things sweet, the deserts were not very inspiring and also not very 70's. A jam roly poly with custard would have been nice. Residents of SE1 please support this restaurant give it a chance
