Good dinner at Alfie's with my parents. The service is very good. Jazz night makes it extra-special! Huge portions!
Lovely food and great service. Read some bad reviews on TripAdvisor, but it appeared to me they are definitely not true. We had attentive service, no delays and food was of an excellent quality.
Lovely meal at Alfie's SE1. We enjoyed well executed starters of tomato and mozzarella salad and smoked salmon. Mains were generously served, and standard was very high. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Rice pudding for dessert was rather disappointing but can recommend the chocolate and orange torte. Nice quiet lunch in pleasant surroundings with attentive staff.
Alfie's, Bermondsey. Really good home style food served by friendly staff. Quite buzzing for a Tuesday night. Recommended. Nice menu with something for everyone from burgers through to fish of the day.
Alfies in Bermondsey Square was not that impressive on the food front. We had the squid and special of the day soup as starters - and they were by far the highlight of the meal. We both had the cheeseburger and chips - the burger was really not that good - a solid lump of meat with no real texture to speak of - or flavour. I do have to say that Georgie our waitress was excellent - great service, attentive and very friendly.
