The Lambourne

About The Lambourne

The Lambourne restaurant boasts a great southwest London location on Wimbledon’s bustling Broadway – just opposite the Polka Theatre. The interior is casually elegant, with smart black furniture, tiled floors and denim blue walls; the atmosphere is similarly laid-back and unpretentious. The open kitchen allows you to keep an eye on your meal – choose from daily-changing specials plus a great selection of dishes straight from the grill. Steak is always a good choice at a grill restaurant, and the meat here is 28 day aged and comes direct from Smithfield. There’s also a tasty-sounding burger, plus a range of fish, chicken, duck, lamb and vegetarian options; there really is something for everyone here. Take advantage of 2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour, visit for a Sunday roast or a quick prix fixe pre-theatre meal, or take full advantage of the a la carte menu during a relaxed meal with friends.

Is a nice.place and great with the ft offer as you choose from the normal full menu. The olives are pitted which I don't like but apart from that all enjoyed. The place is opposite polka next to the watershed. It is also on 93night bus among others going to Wimbledon and raynes park directly in front of the restaurant. Fully stocked bar and staff are very nice people even when rather busy. Food is presented well, and steak is good, as well as the bass. I would go again with tt deal.

The Lambourne in Wimbledon is a great little place. Food was really good and with the toptable special only came to around £15 pp including a drink each!! Sunday to Thursday they have 2 for 1 cocktails as well which is good. I would recommend and I'd say all four of us will be back. The restaurant was a little quiet for a Thursday night but the bar still had a few people in it.

The Lambourne is conveniently located on Wimbledon Broadway, a short walk from the station. The food was well presented and tasted great. I'd highly recommend the posh fish and chips. The interior was cosy, service solid and the price didn't break the bank.

Good value for a pre theatre meal and just a short walk from the theatre. Very welcoming staff. A varied selection on the menu. Service was efficient but not rushed. Staff were welcoming. The beer battered fish, hand cut chips, with tartare sauce and caperberries where beautifully prepare and the knickerbocker glory had excellent quality ice cream and fresh fruit sauces. Wine was very reasonably priced.

We went to The Lambourne in Wimbledon yesterday, probably for about the 3rd time. The food was great as per usual - I ate the poussin with triple-cooked chips, aioli and side of salad and my partner the lamb with mediterranean vegetables. The latter was a fairly small portion, but lovely, as was my poussin. The service was attentive. I like the relaxed atmosphere. Shame The Lambourne is on the lower end of the Broadway - I think it would attract far more people if it were more central.
