Zizzi - Wanstead

About Zizzi - Wanstead

Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Customers at the South Woodford branch can expect to be wowed by pizza throwing chefs and excellent food, ideal for lunch or dinner.

A very enjoyable meal here in South Woodford There was no manager nor assistant manager on the premises but we were received well and given a choice of tables. Thomas served us and was attentive and knowledgable. Zizzi is a chain of restaurants but I felt they have grasped the concept of an independent. Excellent seafood risotto and my mother opted for chicken wrapped in prosciutto. Awe enjoyed an excellent prosecco and a shared lemon sorbet made this a very good lunch indeed

We always get great service at Zizzi south woodford, the menu is a bit different with lots of good food. The ambience is also lively and pleasant. The decor is less upmarket than some places, but still very nice. Will defiinately go back again.

Good ambience in the restaurant with excellent food. The waitress who served us was a little too keen which becomes annoying. Otherwise can't fault it

Zizzi South Woodford .I love Zizzi, they have really delicious filling dishes at reasonable prices. I had the chicken with Parma Ham and it was outstanding,. The service was good, ambience optimal and we were left extremely satisfied. I love the fact the kitchen is next to the restaurant so you can see them cooking. the staff are always quick and friendly. We will always go back as it is a quality restaurant with an excellent selection of dishes which is great value. You can't go wrong here.
