The Lord Nelson

About The Lord Nelson

It's hard to find a London local that has a genuinely villagey vibe, yet The Lord Nelson on Enfield Road in Brentford is a cosy, community-minded venue with a down-to-earth atmosphere and a gourmet gastro-pub menu. Ideal for intimate get-togethers, boozy Sunday dinners and private garden parties, this charismatic Victorian restaurant is decorated with simple bentwood chairs, chunky wooden tables and fresh flowers and the wine list includes a selection from France and Spain to Argentina and Australia. Favourite dishes at The Lord Nelson include the devilled whitebait with a spicy tartare sauce; the pork, Port and Stilton sausages with buttered mash; and the classoc lemon cheesecake with raspberry coulis and vanilla ice cream.

The lord nelson offered good pub grub at reasonable prices. Worth the visit and would return

Considering the rave reviews we were a bit surprised on entering the bar of the Lord Nelson in Brentford as it seemed a fairly ordinary boozer. The lounge & restaurant areas of the pub are nicely done though, and the garden was pleasant. Food was OK - nice but ordinary pub food. The parmesan on my Caesar salad was packet not fresh. We couldn't have pudding as the chef finished at 9pm - seems awfully early to stop serving food in a place that is pitching itself as a 'restaurant'.

Lord Nelson - Brentford. Lovely juciy chicken, chops were a bit rare and then a bit tough (and still a bit pink) when they came back for a second innings. The Lord Nelson is clearly a well loved local pub, lovely garden out the back. And good friendly service.

Lord Nelson in Brentford - Surprisingly empty pub at 6.30pm on Friday evening, however food was absolutely out of this world - true culinary treat! Will definitely go again and take all my mates with me!

Good service and the food as pub food goes was fine. Will be going back, but most likely to eat from the bar menu.
