It's bright and breezy café-esque vibe, complete with airy wood floored interior, is complimented by equally welcoming staff and a gorgeous menu of Italian classics. With a team headed by Chef Mario Magli and manager Giorgio Pili, the 500 team is passionate about Italian food which is reflected in the menu which in it's carefully considered selection of dishes brings to mind leisurely evenings in a Roman restaurant or long lunches on the Amalfi coast.

After almost 4 months in Australia, it was great to return to the best of our local restaurants. Several new items on the menu, as well as old favourites. Perhaps the lamb stew could have been cooked a tad longer, but this is a very minor criticism of what is always a very high standard of cooking.
500 in Holloway Rd N19 We had fish stew and the platter to start stew was small peices of fish and clams, mussels and prawn in a garlic and tomato broth, very nice, the platter was a mixture of cold meats, cheese, pate and roasted peppers again good, our request for no added salt was adhered to and the main courses of risotto and Guinea Fowl were well cooked and well presented if a little large, no room was left for a good looking sweet list, wine list was good with a excellent bottle of white.
Absolutely terrific in every way. The food is incredible value and really very very good.

A great little restaurant, well deserving of its huge success. I'm almost afraid to recommend it too highly in case we have to wait even longer than three weeks for a booking.
500 is a brilliant find. It's basically fine dining at very reasonable prices. This has been our third visit and we were yet again impressed. The tiramisu is still the best in London! The only downfall is that many people are beginning to discover this great find, making it a bit difficult to get a booking at times so I suggest booking at leat a week in advance (particularly for a weekend).
