A Cena restaurant on Richmond Road, at the foot of Richmond Bridge in the western London suburb of Twickenham, is the creation of Camilla Healy, a highly-accomplished chef and party-planner. A Cena's lovely dining room has a rich, elegant style that has attracted local diners as well as a fashionable London crowd, the polo mob and punters looking for refuelling when the rugby is on at Twickenham stadium. This is one of the area's most-loved Italian restaurants. The old-fashioned gilt framed mirrors and candlelit white linens were inspired by Healy's grandfather's Italian restaurant, and the warm atmosphere at A Cena has a distinctly family-run feel. The traditional Italian cuisine is typified by favourite dishes like slow-roasted rabbit in Soave Classico sauce with pancetta, nutmeg, parmesan and brushcetta; whole-roasted sea bass with fennel, white wine and olive oil mash; and spicy mussel and tomato linguine. Menus change frequently, and wines are mostly Italian. Excellent list of grappas.
