Traditional French cooking in a lively small restaurant, with dishes such as an excellent confit de canard, well-priced wine and engaging staff.
Chez Ton Ton East Barnet is a lovely hidden secret in a well disguised house front! Food is amazing, the owner is very professional yet personable and the ambiance is authentically French, right down to the lack of Veggie selections, although they were extremely accommodating and eventually I ate a wonderful meal! My partner ate like a king, mussels and various other meaty, fishy delights. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
We were a party of 36 and had an excellent evening. We were made very welcome, the food was excellent and everyone thoroughly it. Great atmosphere - a real French restaurant in Barnet! Very good organisation with arranging the evening and great service. Thank you!
All 5 of us went for a birthday celebration to the consistently good Chez Tonton in New Barnet. As usual Eric (Le Patron) and his staff produced some wonderful French food. Being a Wednesday the TT 25% off food deal resulted in it costing £35 per head, for 3 courses each, a couple of Kir Royals to start and 2 bottles of decent red wine between us. The staff singing 'Happy Birthday' could do with more practice. Altogether, a very enjoyable evening ... again.
We enjoyed another delicious meal at Chez Tonton on Thursday night. The restaurant was packed but the service was impeccable. The waiters were very friendly, yet professional, and the food was gorgeous. I had duck breast with caramelised quince and chestnuts. This restaurant has been around for as long as I can remember and I have never experienced a poor meal yet. The 25% off food offer was particularly welcome post xmas.
