Toptable says about The Distillers - Smithfield
Situated in the heart of Farringdon, The Distillers Smithfield is the newly opened sister pub of The Distillers Hammersmith and The Bedford, in Balham. Serving quality gastropub cuisine, The Distillers Smithfield aims to impress, with décor comprising stained glass double doors, crushed velvet banquettes, plush curtains and grand mirrors. The ambience is upbeat yet informal, making The Distillers Smithfield the perfect place to relax and unwind after a hard day's work. Following in the footsteps of its sister pubs, there is live music on Thursday evenings, and on the last Sunday of the month. We love the chicken & bacon sandwich with rocket & beef tomato, and the roasted pork belly served with Asian noodle salad & cider jus.

The decor of Distilliers was lovely, as were the staff. The negative was we were the only people in there. However we were having an early lunch so maybe thats why. The food was nice so definitely a good place to have a relaxed meeting.
I arranged a retirement dinner for 16 work colleagues at the Distillers in Smithfield. The service was really efficient and the food was really good value for money
We went to The Distillers in Smithfield on a Friday night, which for a meal was probably a mistake. The place was really busy, but the restaurant itself was empty apart from us. Despite that really enjoyed it. The food was excellent and it was a good experience. Probably a really good lunchtime place. We would certainly recommend it.
A compact menu very much a bar type choice of dishes. The food was perfectly tasty and enjoyable. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and welcoming, but a little bit slow.
The Distillers in Smithfield was ok, quite relaxed but perhaps a little too quiet for a Friday. The menu was good but the food itself was nothing special, and the service was adequate but a little miserable. It was a convenient location so I might go back but i wouldn't make a special effort.
