The starters were great, and the mains nice however the restaurant is over priced for where it is located. The waiting staff were very nice and friendly, however the staff were over attentive - as soon as we put our forks down/it looked like we may have finished, they would come and try and clear our plates ...at lot of the time disturbing our conversations. the music is also a bit too loud, and too much like 'club' music. The venue is very well decorated.
Beautiful inside but overpriced and only set-menus let it down.
I went to the Al-Khayma part of the restaurant for a valentines dinner. The setting was stunning, a really gorgeous and romantic place, full of drapes and dim lighting. The food was very reasonably priced, and portions good sized. Would definaly go again!
London Darbar- Ilford Cranbrook Road. I booked a table for the Indian Resaurant but when I got there, I was told that I had made a reservation to the Lebanese section of the restaurant ,the hostess rearranged the booking,so users be aware when booking! The food was good, portions were reasonable (2 people to share each dish) and the ambience was v chic (buddha bar album with increasing volume through the night). Only negative; I asked for the duck dish and I was advised NOT TO by the waiter!!
Had a lovely time at London Darbar, the service was fantastic and the food is always yum! Will definitely be visiting again soon!
