The Hurlingham Pub and Kitchen

About The Hurlingham Pub and Kitchen

Says owner Ben Hurley of London bar/restaurant The Hurlingham Pub and Kitchen; ‘it’s about fun, great food and wine and relaxing in the comfort of our ‘home from home surroundings’. Located on the Wandsworth Bridge Road in Fulham, The Hurlingham is a friendly local pub with a little bit extra, the singular surroundings and friendly, warm welcome setting it apart from London’s many identikit chain bars. Quirky and eclectic, The Hurlingham is filled with cosy seating and interesting art, specials chalked on to blackboards and mix and match chairs pushed up against junk shop tables. The result is the sort of place you find yourself coming back to time and again, sometimes for a quiet drink, often for a leisurely meal. At The Hurlingham, menus are changed daily, weekly or monthly depending on the season and the produce available from suppliers, the cuisine British with a twist of continental flavour, followed up by wickedly delicious desserts and accompanied by well kept beers, selected wines and a full complement of soft drinks and spirits.

Half price burgers on Tuesdays obviously works as everyone, all 20 of the customers, were eating them. Also, for a weekday lunch in a neighbourhood restaurant, that's not bad for business. The burger was great for £5. Not as tasty as GBK. Why not? Should be easy enough to get to that level of flavours?

Headed to The Hurlingham with friends on Sunday evening, was probably expecting a little bit more as there are some rather nice pubs just south of the river. Anyhow, Sunday roast and pudding for £15 was good. Both were yum, even if we did have to send the bill back to be corrected.
