Taste of Raj
About Taste of Raj
Located just a stones throw from Richmond Park, the Taste of Raj is a firm favourite with local curry connoisseurs who pop in whenever they’re craving something spicy. The menu is packed full of familiar favourites like butter chicken, lamb dopiaza, and a selection of biryani and tandoori dishes – all cooked to authentic recipes using the freshest herbs and spices. We recommend trying one of their house specialties like the king prawn cooked in a green masala sauce made with coriander, green chillies and a touch of tamarind to give it a tangy, spicy flavour. For a warm welcome and a taste of the exotic in the heart of East Sheen, the Taste of Raj is hard to beat!

Taste of Raj, East Sheen. We love it here. The food was fantastic and the service was very friendly. We shall be back again soon.
Fantastic food, smiley people, nice decor, good prices (in fact cheap) for the quality. It's a shame the restaurant doesn't have enough diners, no idea how they survive, but we will go there again and tell all our friends about it.
Taste of Raj in East Sheen delivered a very tasty selection of dishes when we dined there. Pappadums were very fresh. Five of us shared a selection of starters and mains. Highlights were a prawn starter and a meat starter (can't remember names sorry) Prawn and pumpkin main dish was delicious - full of flavour but still fresh, not greasy. Great peshwari naan (from two peshwari naan fans!). Service friendly an efficient, although it wasn't very busy when we were there. Very good value too.
Taste of Raj in E. Sheen is a place I return to. Have eaten here 3 or 4 times. Service is consistently good and the menu is varied and the food of good standard. My fellow diners were lovers of good Indian cuisine, which is why we return. Didn't break the bank, either.
We went to the Taste of Raj in Sheen with high hopes as the reviews were very good. Whilst the Tuesday "banquet" is good value, and certainly popular, I am afraid that I found the starter (crunchy chicken tikka) tasteless, the portions small and the "toasted" poppadums a novelty! Service is attentive and friendly but overall the experience is average.
