Cafe Strudel has very pleasant ambience and fantastic food with decent size portions. The starters were particularly great. The only drawback was that. despite mentioning it was a birthday treat they chose to ignore it. The service was good to start with but then slowed down as they got busy. The waiter forgot about our bill and we had to remind them. Then having already added 12.5% service charge on the bill, he cheekily asked if we wanted to add the gratuity! The food is worth going back for
Dinner at Strudel was excellent with attentive service, great food and a good knowledge of the wine menu.
This was the second visit and although the food was good, the first time was better. Tried the schnitzel again, which is fabulous. But the garnishes were not quite as good this time. Last time the lambs lettuce had a fantastic, basic dressing but this time there seemed to be an absence of dressing.
Good music made for a nice ambience.
We booked for dinner on Friday evening and were quite impressed with our experience there. Knowlegable hosts, simple but effective menu (Viennese), good chef (French) who knows how to present his dishes and a range of European wines. Strong double espresso for me and a liquer coffee for my wife to finish the evening - what more could you ask for? We will be back.
Very enjoyable evening and delicious food %u213 service was very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend.
