Manicomio
About Manicomio
Manicomio is a glass-fronted gastronomic Italian emporium located over three floors of a Norman Foster designed building on London’s Gutter Lane. Nestled in the shadow of St Paul’s cathedral, this stunning dining destination offers a spectacular culinary experience. On the ground floor, the café-bar is open for informal breakfast and lunch and offers a terrace that is ideal for breakfast meetings through to after work drinks with nibbles. On the second floor, the à la carte restaurant serves up Italian classics by chef Tom Salt and a 100-bin wine list. Manicomio’s signature dining room – the Roundhouse – is located on the third floor boasting a formal dining room plus a chic cocktail lounge and private dining facilities. Sleek and sophisticated, this is one of the city’s premier restaurants and Manicomio is busy during the day with power lunching city workers, and in the evenings the restaurant attracts a stylish after-work crowd.

Nice food but a bit overpriced.
The food was very good and the selection of wines was very comprehensive. Our waiter was attentive, but his manner lacked at little which was funny at times but overall soured the meal a little. £250 for a four person 3 course and one bottle of red. Great city setting and perfect for entertaining clients.
Manicomio on Gutter Lane (London) is a neighbourhood gem. The food is excellent, the service impeccable and the buzz great. If you like high quality Italian food that has a sense of tradition but clearly modern then this is the place for you. It is certainly value for money and works for business lunches as well as social outings. Recommended!
Food was excelllent, service was fantastic. Will definitely be coming back here for more business lunches.
Manicomio on Gutter Lane remains, I think, one of the nicest restaurants around the Bank area. The waiter was attentive and the food (scallops and seafood linguine) delicious. Wine by the glass is expensive but good.
