Casa do Peixe

About Casa do Peixe

On the outskirts of Hampstead Heath is Casa do Peixe restaurant, a pleasantly relaxed dining room doing a great line in Mediterranean food. A good sized dining room, spacious and modern, makes Casa do Peixe an attractive proposition for the style-savvy diners of Hampstead who appreciate not only the slick décor and the tuneful fado music soundtrack, but the friendly, efficient and unhurried service of Casa do Peixe’s highly skilled staff. In this charming restaurant, guests are served the best traditional flavours of Portugal with a particular focus on absolutely fresh fish and seafood, all cooked to traditional home-style recipes but with presentation that’s anything but rustic. Good wines, many of them of course sourced from Portugal’s best vineyards, accompany food at Casa do Peixe’s, with a wide range available by bottle and glass for a good variety of prices. Consistently praised by local visitors who return time and again, Casa do Peixe’s is one of only a handful of restaurants in the area going from strength to strength and likely to continue doing so.

Had a lovely meal at Casa do Peixe, Hampstead. Fresh fish and good service. Atmosphere was sadly lacking as it was extremely quiet on a Friday night. Deserves to be busier!

Casa do Peixe on a Friday evening was quite busy. We had the clams in a delicious broth and the largest prawns I had ever seen for starters. For the main course we had the seafood rice for two, magnificent value as there was so much we had it for lunch the next day! It was full of prawns, clams, mussels and squid and was piping hot. Without drinks with the TT offer, that came to about £12 a head, marvellous value. Will be back

Caa de price nice decor, very slow service and the waiter brought out the wrong dish. He also had to come back 2ce to ask how the steaks should be cooked and still got it wrong but my husband didn't want to send it back. My king prawns were delicious. Deserts not much to talk about. Ok with 50%off wouldn't go otherwise.

We had a good meal here although the atmosphere was lacking, the service was good and I would go back. The fish was well cooked and nicely seasoned.
