A classic Soho haunt loved by night owls, theatre goers and bar hoppers alike, Melati has been serving up traditional Malaysian, Indonesian and Singaporean cuisine on London’s Great Windmill Street for over 30 years. Spread out over three floors, this cosy and welcoming restaurant is only minutes away from the Apollo Theatre, Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street and is always buzzing with an animated crowd. All the food here is made by the chef Uncle Kiri with love and passion, and there are no fancy fusion dishes here, just home-cooked meals made from family recipes. The dining room feels like a home away from home with its fairy lights and wood panelled walls, and signature dishes include the nasi lemak, garlic prawns and chicken kalio. Melati is renowned for its fresh flavours, beautiful presentation and smiley service.

It's been ages since i last went to melati, I'm glad i didso as i forgot how delicous the food was. The aneka satay, the garlic chicken and the lamb and a sweet soy sauce was heavenly. I'm coming back again in force.
Really warm cosy atmosphere. Delicious food. Would come again.
Visited Melati on a Friday night at around 6:30 - the restaurant wasn't overly crowded but had a good buzz - the food was lovely and not too expensive and the service very good. Would definately return.
