Richoux

About Richoux

An iconic London institution, Richoux is the place to sip and be seen in central London. Perfect for posh pre-theatre bites, business breakfasts and afternoon tea, this renowned restaurant chain dates back to 1909 when it opened as a prestigious patisserie and confectioner in the capital. Needless to say, the puddings and cakes here are to die for, and the Knightsbridge branch of Richoux – located on Brompton Road – is across the road from Harrod's, and a short stroll from the V A and the Royal Albert Hall. The classic cafe menu at Richoux is filled with old-school favourites, and we adore the signature eggs Benedict with English ham, and the classic Richoux club sandwich.

We went to Richoux opposite Harrods for afternoon tea. The whole atmosphere was a bit too informal and tables are small compared to some grand hotels and indeed Harrods' Georgian Restaurant can offer. We, however, enjoyed our time there and would like to come back for lunch some time soon.

We went for breakfast to Richoux Knightsbridge branch. We were slightly disappointed to see a limited range but it made a good start to head off to the busy day we had planned.

I went to Richoux for breakfast. I brought my 5 year old daughter. It was lovely the staff were attentive and the food was great. They did have a childs menu which I was great and reasonably priced but it only had one option on it which my dughter didn't like. So I had to order her an adult portion form the menu which was huge and she couldn't eat even half of it. Found it odd that there was no flexibility and so value rating suffered.
