1 Lombard Brasserie was consistent as ever, good service, coffee and food. Recommended for business breakfasts and lunches.

I had a doctors appointment at St Mary's so meet a friend here for lunch before hand. Big mistake. The food was good, as was the service, but there was 0 atmostphere- which I guess was to be expected. This is very much a place for business meetings. Probably for those people catching a train. It was also very expensive for what we got- which, again, I tribute to the business setting/ atmosphere.
Brasserie Hilton Paddington was a good location for dining with two foodie friends travelling through Heathrow, despite our reticence to eat in hotels. Disappointed that the carvery does not work on Sundays but an extremely tempting menu, too difficult to choose so we tasted each other's dishes. All three starters, mains and puddings were wonderful. Wine list comprehensive and the Cotes du Rhone was very good. Service friendly but courteous. Not cheap but worth it. But long walk to the ladies!
Good food and good service.
