With its sweeping views of the River Thames, the River View restaurant is a firm favourite with local business types and Wapping foodies. Situated in a converted warehouse on the High Street, this popular eatery specialises in Peking and Cantonese cuisine and won the ‘Best Chinese in Docklands’ award in 2006 and 2009. The menu is full of classics like crispy duck and chicken in black bean sauce but we recommend trying one of their excellent hot pots and sizzling specials. The seafood is particularly good with dishes like chilli fried squid and steamed sea bass on offer. With the added bonus of super-friendly service and a well chosen wine list, River View has everything you need and more.

The meal at River View in Wapping was lovely, genuinely one of the nicest Chinese restaurants I have visited. I took my Dad for his 70th and he loved it. Portion sizes were large and all dishes prepared with care. Service was also outstanding, with staff attending to every need. Thoroughly recommend.
I ate dinner at River View Wapping with my husband. They do very good Chinese dishes served in a professional manner by their experienced staff. The decor is a little dated but the spaciousness and river view makes up for that. We've always had a quiet dining experience here so it's a good choice when you want to catch-up with friends/business etc.
The food and service was fantastic. The fact it was a hot day meant it was lovely to sit on the balcony by the Thames. If we'd have sat in the restaurant i'd have been a bit disappointed at it's nothing special, but the food is!
Great food & service. The restaurant is in a good location and does indeed have a good river view! we were treated very well.
Lovely food. Friendly service. Would be nice to have some soft music.
