  • The Greatest Election in a Generation?

    Lecture

    4 Dec 2009 to 4 Dec 2009

6 May 2010 is the current bet for the next general election. If this is the right wager it will be on the same day as the London borough elections - the first time this has happened since the GLC was created in 1963. London Communications Agency, a founding NLA partner and the leading PR firm handling London issues, is presenting their take on the possible changes at a breakfast briefing. Join us and Robert Gordon Clark, Chris Madel and Suzi Lawrence from LCA for some crystal ball gazing, political intrigue and debate.

  • London 2012: Raising the Bar for London's Future Development

    Lecture

    11 Dec 2009 to 11 Dec 2009

This one-day conference examines the fresh thinking and innovation which has informed Olympic-related planning and development, and asks how it can be harnessed to enrich the capital as a whole. NLA is bringing together the key players involved in delivering the Olympics and its legacy to discuss progress to date and current thinking.

  • London Festival of Architecture 2010

    Lecture

    19 Jun 2010 to 4 Jul 2010

This event will focus on the theme of The Welcoming City, highlighting how cities can become increasingly amenable, tolerant and engaging. The theme also responds to the Olympic 2012 slogan that 'London welcomes the world'. The focus areas are the regeneration projects that have the potential to attract visitors and reclaim a city back from the automobile; the areas are Nash Ramblas around Portland Place, High Street 2012 around Whitechapel and Bankside Urban Forest on Southbank.
