Le QuecumBar & Brasserie

About Le QuecumBar & Brasserie

Le QuecumBar restaurant in Battersea in London is an authentic French restaurant and a live music venue with an enviable reputation. It’s renowned throughout the UK and far beyond its shores for its combination of superb jazz, food and drink. With a thoroughly Parisian vibe, Le QuecumBar’s patrons are invited to step back in time to the jazz age when Django Reinhardt was performing, the greatest genius of Gypsy swing. The dining room’s surroundings are muted and slightly decadent with a touch of faded glamour in the rows of black and white photos and bentwood bistro seating. Likewise the casual menu is full of French flavour with classic favourites like French onion soup, frogs’ legs, mussels and escargots. Dishes are perfectly-sized for one, or several dishes together make a convivial shared meal among friends. With its unique atmosphere, world-class musical offerings and classic French cuisine, Le QuecumBar is one of the exceptional places that make London the most exciting city in the world.

A visit to Le QuecumBar & Brasserie in Battersea, London, is always a special experience. The Gypsy Swing live music is a delight, whether a visiting group, a recording session or, as last night, a jam session of musicians turning up and playing in informal groups. The typical brasserie style menu is good value and varied enough, with some permanent items I would recommend: the pate, and antipasti starters. Staff are always friendly and helpful, though service can be slow when they are very busy

Great place for atmosphere and music á la Django Reinhardt. Short basic menu, but well cooked and lots of it! You won't leave hungry! Good wine and all well-priced. Very friendly and attentive service. A great evening if you like swing jazz..

We had a lovely evening at the Le QuecumBar & Brasserie. We arrived with one extra person then we initially booked and this was not a problem although the restaurant was fully booked. Excellent service, great ambiance and yummy food and good wines. We would definitely go back for an evening of full entertainment and fab decor. We were well impressed!

Le QuecumBar in Battersea is absolutely lovely! The decor appears charmingly French, and the food simple and competitively priced. No pompous descriptions here, as the menu is refreshingly brief and to the point. Between the two of us we had a starter, two mains and two desserts, and a bottle of house white and a further LARGE glass each for £64. With the excellent live gypsy swing duo performing that night it was an excellent birthday treat for my fiancee! Recommended, and we'll revisit!!!

Really sweet little venue, great ambience, great music. The food let it down quite a bit though, which is a shame. Very basic,canteen/pub type food. Great wine list though, and its all about the music. Nice place to have a few glasses of wine and chill out
