A trendy bar-restaurant in the self-consciously fashionable Clerkenwell, opens on to a newly refurbished sun spoilt terrace. Cicada’s mix of strong design, fun, and inexpensive food continues to attract a regular media industry crowd. There’s a large, airy bar for the boozers, and top notch Pan Asian goodies served from an open plan kitchen for the peckish. Delicate dim sum, tempuras, sashimi and curries are all here, as well as some scrumptious barbeque specials and elegant salads. The wine list is extensive, though cocktails are the drink of choice. When things heat up, head downstairs to the bijou club room. Or, on summer evenings, be seen sitting outside with a Bangkok bellini or three. Cicada has it all.

Cicada at St. John Street has never disappointed me. Whether it is for lunch or dinner, the service is efficient, the food is yum and with quite few vegetarian choice means my friends are happy too.
Cicada, in Farringdon, is a stylish pan-Asian restaurant with a cool bar to pop into for a drink. The food is the main draw though and on this, my second visit, it didn't disppoint. The staff were friendly and informative and the food was both delicious and filling. The only disappointment for me was that the duck siu mai (from the Dim Sum menu) I'd had before Christmas had been switched for a chicken version. The original was far superior!
Cicada, London, was excellent as usual. Nowhere else I know serves such spicy, succulent dishes in such a friendly environment. The new menu is missing my favourite Korean chicken, but the new dishes seem superb.
Cicada in St John Street London for an informal birthday dinner for a friend. Great atmosphere and delicious food and cocktails. Restaurant relaxed and friendly. Menu interesting Thai food very well presented and great flavours. Only disappointment was they had run out of the dessert we had chosen. Went into the bar afterwards for a nightcap and good atmosphere in there too. Planning to go back and certainly recommend it.
we went early Sat evening for Dim Sum on the 50% off deal. It was delicious well presented and was great value with this deal. The only gripe was the seating near our table which had dried on food on it (they wiped it away after we were seated) and a hole in the leather uphostery near our table. Other than that, very good. will definitely go again with this offer.
