Pasha

About Pasha

After opening in the late 1960s as an authentic kebab house, Pasha has gone from strength to strength to become one of Islington’s most popular Turkish restaurants. Located on trendy Upper Street, it’s perfect for a lazy breakfast with friends, lunch with colleagues, or a full-on weekend feast with the family. Inside, bold colours, opulent fabrics and flickering candles add some exotic Middle Eastern flair to the clean and contemporary interior. For a light meal, diners can share meze dishes like sucuk (spicy Turkish sausage), crispy courgette fritters, hummus and tabbouleh. For something more substantial, the menu includes grilled chicken shish; slow cooked shoulder of lamb with oregano jus; and borek – filo pastry parcels of spinach and feta with rocket salad.

Absolutely deserves its very high rating - a gorgeous, chicly decorated restaurant, charming and attentive staff who made sure we got our meal in time before our theatre started, really excellent food. Perfect for pre-theatre but also for a romantic evening to linger or a night with friends. The menu has a lovely choice. Hard to recommend this place highly enough.

We had dinner at Pacha, in Angel. Nice venue to test on with a deal. We had some meze to share plus a main and it was far too much as the food even though was very tasty was also very rich. The staff was polite and friendly. I can recommend it.
