Great Eastern Dining Room

About Great Eastern Dining Room

Famous throughout London, the Great Eastern Dining Room restaurant led the way as Shoreditch and Hoxton became the most fashionable spots in the city. And while many bars and restaurants that followed sank without a trace in the intervening years, the Great Eastern Dining Room remained a leading light which has kept on burning bright. Still stylish, with a minimal but hip look created through the use of iconic furnishings and warm, earthy tones, the Great Eastern feels modern yet timeless all at once. Pan-Asian cuisine makes this restaurant a great dining option – there really is something to please everybody, including children – with fabulous dim sum, well-rolled sushi and delicious curries just some of the offerings on the Great Eastern menu. The Great Eastern Dining Room is part of the group that now includes other dining icons EandO, eight over eight, and XO.

Great Eastern Dining Room, Hoxton. Had a lovely meal, black pepper ribs were very tasty and my dining partner had a very nice and large phad thai. Service was friendly and attentive. It was quite noisy with the bar being so close by, but I guess that's what you can expect if you go out to eat in Hoxton.

The Great Eastern Dining Room in Shoreditch. We went on a Saturday night. The food was great, and the service friendly but the massive downside was that they seemed to be trying for a 'club' atmosphere, with music too loud to the extent we could hardly hear the people sitting opposite us. I'm told it's much more convivial in the week, but probably best to avoid at the weekend.

Love the pad thai. Very big potions and the best I've tasted in the UK. Nice relaxing attitude and great food.

I enjoyed lunch at Great Eastern Dining Room, London. The lettuce wraps were a particular favourite.

The food was asian fusion and as part of the Ritter chain of restaurants the food is always good. I've dined many times at Cicada and I enjoyed my experience here at Great Eastern and would definately return.
