Floridita
About Floridita
Floridita encompasses the best in Cuban music, cocktails, cigars, food, design and hospitality. Downstairs in the original Mezzo building, a gleaming ten metre bar and varied seating areas create a vibrant atmosphere in which to enjoy the best daiquiris in the world. The Floridita restaurant menu, developed by Executive Chef Andrew Rose, is an ingredient-led, modern interpretation of cosmopolitan Cuban and Latin American cuisine and includes snapper ceviche, Pata Negra Ham, charcoal-grilled Langosta (Cuban crayfish) and butterflied milk-fed leg of lamb. The bar offers a selection of aperitivos and sharing dishes. Cuba has always been at the forefront of Latin music culture, as illustrated by the phenomenal global success of the Buena Vista Social Club, and the Floridita bar and dance floor resound on a nightly basis to the rich rhythm of live Cuban bands and spectacular cabaret, evolving later in the evening into more modern Cuban, Latin and international beats, mixed by leading international DJs.

We celebrated my birthday at Floridita this last weekend and we had a ball. The food was good, the meal deal is not bad value for money and the service was excellent - there was so much staff they were falling over themselves to serve us, and left us alone when we asked them too. However, one little gripe is charging diners £6 per head for the live band. Charge the people drinking at the bar - not the people spending money in the restaurant.
Floridita, London - enjoyable food, great value on the pre-theatre set menu, excellent location. Recommended.
We booked the two course deal at Floridita, and paid the extra supplement for the steak which was delicious. It doesn't come with anything, so we also shared some fries, so the prices all added up, but it was still cheaper than not having the deal! Even though we were there early, there was still a good atmosphere, and once the live music started it was excellent. Very good and attentive service, and wonderful cocktails. I will definitely come back again!
Thanks for a great time :) always love this place with the great atmosphere and lovely food.
good food, always enjoy the live music at floridita
