About Floridita

Floridita encompasses the best in Cuban music, cocktails, cigars, food, design and hospitality. Downstairs in the original Mezzo building, a gleaming ten metre bar and varied seating areas create a vibrant atmosphere in which to enjoy the best daiquiris in the world. The Floridita restaurant menu, developed by Executive Chef Andrew Rose, is an ingredient-led, modern interpretation of cosmopolitan Cuban and Latin American cuisine and includes snapper ceviche, Pata Negra Ham, charcoal-grilled Langosta (Cuban crayfish) and butterflied milk-fed leg of lamb. The bar offers a selection of aperitivos and sharing dishes. Cuba has always been at the forefront of Latin music culture, as illustrated by the phenomenal global success of the Buena Vista Social Club, and the Floridita bar and dance floor resound on a nightly basis to the rich rhythm of live Cuban bands and spectacular cabaret, evolving later in the evening into more modern Cuban, Latin and international beats, mixed by leading international DJs.

My second time and Floridita and it will not be my last! This is my new favorite restaurant anywhere. Cocktails, food and service are all excellent. The band is great too. Love watching the people dancing the night away.

A great fun filled evening - the music and decor really makes this venue. The food and drinks are expensive with wine starting at over £21 but with only 2 bottles less than £30. Steaks were rated highly although other options were less popular. The suckling pig was dry and disappointing. I would recommend the venue but not necessarily for the food - perhaps just for drinks and dancing.

We booked a meal at Floridita's for 5.30 on Saturday and had to leave little over an hour later to move on to the next venue, so our time to order and eat was very limited! The staff were very accomodating and patient and the food arrived quickly was warm, tasty and well presented. In the end due to time we went for the two-course menu,I had the soup and the chicken dish, which was fresh and very tasty.Main course didn't come with many vegetables and so ordered side dishes.Bit quiet but gd place

Floridita has a fun and glamorous ambiance, and the decor in the restaurant is quite amazing. The food from the set menu was nice if not a little cold but nothing to write home about. The real attraction to the restaurant is the music, and it is a great place to go and watch people dance and get up and dance yourself. However due to the music, I was unable to hear what anyone on my table was saying for the whole evening so would probably go back purely for drinks rather than a meal.
