Chez Bruce

About Chez Bruce

Set up in the mid-90s, Chez Bruce has become something of a London legend. Nuzzling up to the greenery of Wandsworth Common, this chic restaurant is very much the local leading light of southwest London dining. While prestigious awards aplenty may have been thrust upon Chez Bruce and its team in the intervening years, the comfortable, neighbourly vibe has remained in the simplistic French bistrot styling, warm service and unpretentious food, not to mention the very Wandsworth-ish crowd of upwardly mobile types fresh from just round the corner. Wines are well priced and a perfect complement to the regional French based cuisine which changes seasonally. Our tip? Don’t miss the Chez Bruce cheese board – a celebrity in foodie circles.

Chez Bruce, London. One of the nicest meals we've ever had - absolutely delicious, a great range of textures and flavours, and lovely to look at. The staff were helpful, friendly and nicely unobtrusive - probably telepathic. We'd definitely go there again, to work our way round the set menu (excellent value).

We visited Chez Bruce (Wandsworth Common, London) yesterday using the 3 course for £29.50 offer after colleague recommended it to me. We both enjoyed our starters, as well as the bread/parmesan crackers when we arrived. The mains were pleasant but not outstanding. Horseradish/mustard flavour on the lamb was overpowering and my ballontine had an nasty texture. Dessert was lovely though (esp. the champagne grantias). Service good but not pushy. Would go again and pay full price.

Excellent food and very good value with the Top Table offer. Only downside was that the waiter was very brusque when we arrived and during the initial orders. We eventually warmed him up but that should not be necessary.
