Set up in the mid-90s, Chez Bruce has become something of a London legend. Nuzzling up to the greenery of Wandsworth Common, this chic restaurant is very much the local leading light of southwest London dining. While prestigious awards aplenty may have been thrust upon Chez Bruce and its team in the intervening years, the comfortable, neighbourly vibe has remained in the simplistic French bistrot styling, warm service and unpretentious food, not to mention the very Wandsworth-ish crowd of upwardly mobile types fresh from just round the corner. Amazing food, hall a bit noisy.
I have been meaning to go to Chez Bruce for sometime, but it is difficult to get a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night! So I booked to go on Sunday instead and I wasn't disappointed. Great food, great service, great ambience and good value for money compared to other restaurants of lesser quality in London. Highly recommended.
Great food and service at Chez Bruce Wandsworth. Been here a few times and always have a delightful dinner here.
Very good. AA Gilll's 2009 review in the Times quoted on Harden's was totally wrong on this occasion. The service was almost magically organised.
