The Abbeville
About The Abbeville
The Abbeville is a romantic and charming gastro pub in London’s Clapham South. The restaurant is decorated with an eccentric collection of 16th century paintings and mismatched wooden chairs and tables. In the winter months the crackling open fire and comfort-food menu provide the perfect backdrop for cosy meals with friends or loved ones, and in the summer you can sit outside in the sunny courtyard and sip Pimms to your heart’s content. The menu boasts assured classics such as pea and mint soup, homemade beef burgers with cheddar cheese, onion chutney and French fries and corn cakes served with a Portobello mushroom and baked with goat’s cheese. The Abbeville is an atmospheric local gem.

Always a pleasure, never a chore. I've eaten at the Abbeville many times, and it's always excellent. We arrived late in a very packed pub and they still found us a table - always with a smile. I've given 10 for the food because it's a pub and the food is a million times better than you'd expect for a pub. Sure, it's not Michelin, but it's still great. It's on the pricey side - but what do you expect from Clapham?
We really enjoy dinner at Abbeville. The dining room has a genuine charm, and the food was delicious (though I always wish there were more poultry/vegetarian options!). We had a 50% off voucher, which made diiner a good value as well.
The Abbeville was ideal on a cold January Tuesday. I had fish pie, my friend had wild boar stew and both were delicious. Excellent value with 50% off offer. Definitely recommended.
An outstanding gastropub! Amazing food, service and value!
Friendly neighbourhood pub with good food and lively atmosphere
