Red Pepper

About Red Pepper

Maida Vale has a relaxed, neighbourly vibe, so it’s no surprise to find Red Pepper here among the stuccoed houses and well tended gardens. With its buzzy, bistro feel, this restaurant has stood the test of time, serving Londoners good food since 1994 (a lifetime in restaurant terms). Many locals, some of them good cooks and cookery writers, regard Red Pepper as their home away from home. The authentic pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven, is just one reason diners keep coming back; another is the friendly welcome which greets them. Cosy and informal, Red Pepper invites you to enjoy delicious homemade pasta, grills, and fresh seafood from all over Italy including the forgotten regions of Sardinia and Campania.

The lovely little Italian was buzzing with people. The staff were all very friendly and the service was great. My ragu pasta was cooked perfectly and my friend enjoyed the meatball pasta. Nothing left on our plates! Will definitely be back to try RP again.

Had a lovely family meal at Red Pepper on the night before my son's wedding. Great atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. Only downside was small size of portions for the price of specials. You really need to spend another £7 for a couple of side dishes to make a meal of the £17 mains, which all adds up to quite a hefty sum when the service is added on. But hey it's probably what you have to pay in this pricey area of London.
